Participating in VIFF's Composer/Filmmaker Accelerator

For the last few weeks I’ve been participating in the Vancouver International Film Festival’s Composer/Filmmaker Accelerator Program, as part of their AMP Music in Media Series.

Four directors, including myself, are paired with three different composers who write music for the same clip from one of our films. I chose to explore the musical possibilities of a scene in my new short, Fadeaway. I’ve been delighted to discover the unique interpretations of each composer, and I’m excited to share these different aural visions of my scene with audiences during a live performance by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on October 6.
